1. Tools, not advice
RoofBook files, guides, checklists and playbooks are spreadsheet tools and general information for roofing contractors. They are not legal, tax, accounting, insurance, engineering or construction advice, and we are not your attorney, accountant, insurer or licensed contractor. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.
2. Rules differ by state
Laws about contractor licensing, lien and notice deadlines, insurance deductibles and rebates, supplements, warranties, taxes and consumer protection differ by state and change over time. Any lien, deadline, insurance or compliance feature is an organizing aid only. It may not match the rules where you work. You are responsible for checking the rules that apply to you and meeting every deadline.
3. Your numbers drive the results
The files calculate from what you type in. Prices, margins, balances and forecasts are only as accurate as your inputs and your choices. They are not a quote guarantee, a profit guarantee or a promise about what an insurer will pay. Check totals before you send anything to a customer, supplier or insurer, and keep backups of your files.
4. Software and compatibility
The files are built for Microsoft Excel. Other spreadsheet programs and older versions may not support every feature. We are not responsible for loss caused by changes you make to the files, third-party software, or data you enter.
5. No affiliation
RoofBook is independently operated. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft, Whop, Meta, any roofing manufacturer, insurance carrier or government agency. Names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
